It’s just because we don’t want to lose you. Girls like to feel important and special to their boyfriend. if you go around saying another girl is hot or pretty, she feels like you don’t appreciate her, and she starts feeling like she’s ugly and not good enough for you. We girls are very self conscious about our looks. Girls think differently then boys do. Girls want their guys to see that they’re the only person whose heart beats for… as if they’re the “only girl in the world.“ Girls also like to be number 1, no, I mean ONLY ONE. And if you’re saying someone else is hot, pretty, cute, etc. it suggests that you’re thinking about someone else. In other words, they’re sharing priority in your mind. Personally, I don’t mind it too much as long as it’s a celebrity or if it’s a girl that’s universally considered attractive. Other than that, I might be slightly put out inside, but I wouldn’t show it on the outside for sure. After all, no matter how pretty or beautiful you find other people, your own girlfriend should look the best to you.
